The Birth of Modern Psychiatry
The diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV-TR: APA 2000) is a list of mental disorders used for diagnosis. It describes the 'signs' and 'symptoms' associated with a specific mental disorder.
The International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) produced by the World Health Organisation is used by Psychiatrists in the UK to diagnose mental disorders.
